| What? Art classes with Sarah Zamora of Original Youth provide a unique opportunity for your child to explore and develop creative skills in a structured, yet informal atmosphere. Each class will consist of a playful 'warm up' activity, hands on learning, and a daily creative project. Your child will bring home a class information sheet, which tells about the daily topic and will list extra resource information, to further explore the focused themes and medium at your leisure throughout the week. Classes are currently offered to children age 4 – 11. Why? Art Matters! Numerous studies have proven that arts teach kids to express themselves more creatively, bolsters self-confidence, and improves overall academic performance. Weekly instruction in a variety of media stimulates your child's imagination. Plus, let’s face it; art is FUN! My classes emphasize creativity; so that children will develop their own ideas and learn techniques to put them into action. Original Youth offers quality instruction at very competitive rates. Our class sizes are kept small (usually 4 - 6 students) so that each student receives personal attention each week from the teacher. When & Where? Classes are held once per week, at Sarah's home studio in South Keller. View each page of the website for more information about current schedules, tuition information & enrollment. The summer class schedule is a 7-week program, with additional classes offered each fall, spring, and summer. Students may enroll mid-semester as space permits, with pro-rated tuition. New classes will be added as need arises. If you do not see a class that suits your needs, private sessions can be arranged on the topic of your choosing, with a fee of $25 per 50 minute lesson. Who? Sarah Zamora is the owner of Original Youth. In business in N. Tarrant County (NRH, Keller, Watauga area) since 2003, she is a self-taught, internationally published artist, whose murals, art on canvas, and miniature art works are on display in both homes and businesses worldwide. Her art has been featured in printed books, magazines, articles, and zines. Sarah has taught various art and craft part-time classes for more than 10 years to students of all ages: including creative arts to preschool kids, day camps for elementary students, public school art to middle and high schoolers, and calligraphy, jewelry, printmaking and altered art sessions for adults.
